Data Sharing
The Ecuadorian Journal of Pediatrics encourages authors to share the data and other artifacts that support the results in the article by archiving them in an appropriate public repository. Authors can provide a data availability statement, including a link to the repository they have used, so that this statement can be published in their article. The data availability statement will describe how the data can be accessed and the format presented (Excel, SPSS, PSSS, etc). The journal will assign a persistent identifier (DOI) for this data group. The data must be without personal identifications such as names, identification numbers, medical record numbers. Age must be converted into range to avoid identifying a specific subject. If there is a requirement for a reviewer to request a review of the database, the author must share through the website in review documents, regardless of the acceptance of final publication of the data or the database.
