The open access publication model of the Ecuadorian Journal of Pediatrics does not require the author to cover charges for article processing. All the costs of the revision process, typesetting, editing, English translation, electronic publication and long-term archiving are covered by the Ecuadorian Pediatric Society through the contributions of its collegiate members.

The Ecuadorian Journal of Pediatrics offers free admission since the main objective is, in addition to offering a learning platform on writing scientific articles, to promote the dissemination of knowledge through the publication of high-quality research articles. We continually pursue these goals, without imposing a financial burden on researchers or their institutions.
