The Ecuadorian Journal of Pediatrics publishes three editions per year at the end of the months of April (January–April period), August (May–August period), and December (September–December period). For its online production, the Open Journal Systems platform is used, a manager of open access journals. The software is developed, funded, and distributed free of charge by the Public Knowledge Project, released under the GNU General Public License. Articles are cited under the electronic citation regulations. One volume comprises 1 year's editorial work. One number includes articles published in the mentioned period. The publication is continuous and is submitted electronically on the day of acceptance of the reviewers. The editorial closing of each issue takes place on the last calendar day of April, August, and December.
