Abstract

We describe the clinical case of a 5-day-old patient, very premature and the product of a twin pregnancy with a prenatal diagnosis of duodenal atresia. Transferred for postnatal surgical resolution; showing, after the surgical procedure, a contained intestinal perforation with findings suggestive of intestinal perforation due to meconial peritonitis. An analysis of the clinical presentation, complementary findings, as well as an update on therapeutic management, is described.
